Why is USA so low in international education league tables?

Please watch for updates. I am now working with a person whose previous employment was as a marketing director so he will guide me as most efficient way forward regarding the dissemination of information etc.

An examination of PISA international education league tables makes dismal reading for any USA reader. It is very easy to see why. Countries in which teachers are respected, given a thorough professional training, and then given the same freedom as in other professions where such freedom is fait accompli are successful.

Countries in which administrators and politicians believe they know better than professional educators what is best for children languish in the bottom half of said tables. The politicisation of the USA and in particular the introduction of “No Child Left Behind” although well-intentioned, has been a dismal failure.

At long last, and thanks to Obama, changes are at last being implemented but a whole generation of children have been damaged. It takes time to change the direction of education structures but at present the road we are travelling is not the right road. Do you want to help correct it?
