1) Our Teaching Packs are designed to appeal to the heart, head and hands. Original material is the Mollet Learning Academy (MLA) Teaching Packs. These were written initially for New Zealand teachers and based, in part, on Waldorf – under heading Waldorf Education Resources (WER).
2) On request from USA teachers, monitoring and assessment procedures were added. These Teaching Packs were renamed WideHorizon Education Resources (same acronym WER) to distinguish them from MLA Teaching Packs.
1) Waldorf Education Resources Teaching Packs are blackline masters and permission is given to a teacher to photocopy, as needed, up to a maximum of 35 copies in ONE classroom.
There are 32 SubUnits for the Ancient Civilisations consisting of Early Humankind/Prehistory (1 SubUnit), Mesopotamia (5 SubUnits), Ancient Egypt (5 SubUnits), Ancient Kush (3 SubUnits), Ancient Israelites (3 SubUnits), Ancient Greece (5 SubUnits), Ancient India (1 SubUnit), Ancient China (3 SubUnits), Ancient Rome (6 SubUnits). Also available are History of California (10 SubUnits); Multiplication Tables (4 SubUnits), Fractions (3 SubUnits). See below for detailed list.
All SubUnits are sent as pdfs (no postage or processing fee). Cost is USA $19.95 per SubUnit; NZ $24.95 per SubUnit. Physical copies (postage/processing fees apply) can be provided at additional cost.
2) WideHorizon Education Resources is in two formats. Firstly as a Starter Pack. Secondly as a Classroom Pack. Both Packs include a Teacher Guide containing all the material from the MLA Teaching Packs, with occasional refinements for the USA market. The ONLY difference between a Starter Pack and a Classroom Pack is that the Starter Pack contains just one Student Reference Book (SRB) while a Classroom Pack contains 35 (thirty-five) SRBs. The Starter Pack is available as a pdf (no postage or processing fee). A physical copy (postage/processing fees apply) can be provided at additional cost. Classroom Packs are ONLY available as physical copies and only for USA teachers. All physical copies are in USA and cost of sending abroad is prohibitive but please contact MLA if you have any queries (contact details at bottom of page).
